The last stop on our trip was Sydney. We had amazing weather for the majority of the trip, and unfortunately it rained almost the entire 5 days we spent in Sydney. We made the most of our time there and managed to make it out to Bondi Beach when the sun finally came out for half a day. We spent one day at the Taronga Zoo, which was so much fun. The zoo was so interactive and had a section called the “walk about” where you could literally walk around an area with wallabies, kangaroos, and different birds without any fences between you and the animals. We saw some cute koalas and walked around another area with tiny little monkeys scampering all over the place. We spent a good hour staring in awe at the family of gorillas watching the two baby gorillas climb and jump around. It was a nice transition back into the hustle and bustle of city living, I just wish the weather had allowed us a few more beach days before we headed back to LA. This was by far the trip a lifetime and I will cherish the memories for the rest of my life. I never imagined I would ever visit this part of the world and it was so fun and challenging and it opened my mind and my heart to the amazingness this world has to offer. I can’t wait to plan another trip somewhere and to hopefully make it back down under one day!
